Terrence Mashego is more than just a footballer; his recent move to Durban City highlights his ambition not only on the pitch but also off it. Mashego’s recent decisions show he is rooted in growth, confidence, and most importantly, self-care.
The Bafana Bafana defender has settled into his next chapter in the PSL with a season-long loan move away from parent club Mamelodi Sundowns. Simultaneously, he’s making his mark through his skincare line, Euni Beauty. As he steps into an area few South African athletes have tapped into, Mashego exclusively shares with The Sport Style Sphere what this moment means: professionally, personally, and stylistically.

Also known as “Territorial” for his formidable defensive skills, the 29-year-old has found his rhythm again with regular playing time since his relocation to KwaZulu-Natal.
“Durban City, for me, is a fresh opportunity,” he explains to The Sport Style Sphere. “It’s an opportunity to grow. The team has given me the chance to elevate my game, so it’s my job to make sure that I stay disciplined, I add value to the team, and contribute to putting the team in a better position at the end of the season.”
The full-back is thriving under coach Gavin Hunt, having rediscovered the form that earned him the move to Masandawana from the now-relegated Cape Town City. Injuries had previously challenged his ability to retain his spot, but now he has found his rhythm.
“I’m here [at Durban City] to contribute, to learn, and to push myself beyond my limits,” he says.
Mashego co-founded the skincare brand Euni Beauty alongside entrepreneur Grace Makhanya, highlighting his identity not just as an athlete but also as a businessman. Self-care is a priority for him, and being at the forefront of running a skincare line is a venture Mashego prides himself on.
“Euni Beauty and self-care, for me, I feel is part of professionalism. How you treat your body and how you present yourself says a lot about your mindset,” he shares with pride.
“My skin brand comes from that same belief. When you take care of yourself, it builds confidence both on and off the field. And I’d say, as a player, it’s important to show discipline; as a brand, it helps me represent excellence and authenticity.”
